What is ONE EARTH SUMMIT?

The One Earth Summit will serve as a platform for calls to action, rewards for sustainability progress, and showcases of successful innovation implementation, ultimately achieving the following goals:

  • Sharing knowledge and exchanging perspectives on climate and nature solutions
  • Showcasing talent and cutting-edge technologies, focusing on Asia and global emerging markets
  • Promoting “investment for good” by connecting high-potential start-ups with the world’s most prominent, purpose-driven investors

Who are the organizers?

Organized by the Institute of Sustainability and Technology and World Economic Forum’s GAEA (Giving to Amplify Earth Action) Initiative as the Co-organiser in collaboration with the World Economic Forum as the Knowledge Partner and the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) and InvestHK of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the Host Partners.

Why in Hong Kong?

The summit marks a pivotal global gathering for sustainability leaders to forge a path towards net zero, especially for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.

Complementing the core sessions of the One Earth Summit, our side events are designed to provide immersive and enlightening experiences in Hong Kong, creating intimate settings for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and matchmaking. Key highlights include VIP Luncheon and Charity Gala Dinner, as well as a series of mega events that will take place alongside Wealth for Good Hong Kong and Art Basel during the Financial Mega Event Week hosted by the Hong Kong Government.

Who is speaking at the One Earth Summit?

The line-up of up to 50 global speakers showcases a dynamic range of leaders from various sectors, including government officials, academia, experts, and corporate leaders.

Who are the participants?

OES will convene a diverse audience of 500 leaders and changemakers, with the majority of invitees holding top/senior executive roles in global corporations, the financial sector, start-ups, philanthropies, media, civil society, and academia.

What makes this summit different?

This event aims to drive more capital into the impact investing space to empower all the innovations needed to transition to a more sustainable future. Our mission is to connect innovations from around the world to private/public investors, as well as expansion opportunities for corporates.

How can the impact be extended after the summit?

One Earth Summit (OES) is not meant to be a one-off event but aims to create sustainable impact throughout the year through:

  • One Earth Alliance, gathering and empowering a community of impact investors with impact investing education and investment opportunities.
  • One Earth Innovation Challenge, in collaboration with top universities including Stanford, Tsinghua, MIT, Yale, Columbia, Oxford, Cambridge, HKUST, etc., to nurture green tech innovations through our ecosystem and global network (Temasek and large corporations).
  • One Earth Mission, allowing corporate leaders to pledge net-zero targets, provide progress tracking reports on an annual basis (we’ve committed to hosting OES for six consecutive years counting towards 2030), and share best practices.

Attendance is by invitation only. Attendees are invited to join the Summit physically at the Regala Skycity Hotel situated in SKYCITY at Hong Kong International Airport, adjacent to AsiaWorld-Expo and 11SKIES.
